The picturesque community of Cappawhite, also known as Cappaghwhite, which translates to "white's tillage pot," is found in the Irish county of Tipperary and is approximately 8.5 miles from Tipperary Town and 14.1 miles west of the village of Cashel. Cappawhite is widely renowned for its connections to historical events throughout the ages and is home to a charming tavern, a convenience shop where you can fill up on necessities, as well as a church. The Red Hill Walks, which gives commanding views over multiple counties, can be found here, or you can begin on a less strenuous activity by taking a historic route in Glassdrum to Greenfield Wood, where you can see cascading vistas over the region. From here, you can also travel to the vibrant town of Cashel, which is home to the majestic Rock of Cashel, which dates back to the 12th century and originated in the Devil's Bit. Farney Castle is also nearby in Holycross and can be reached by car in a short amount of time. Take a trip along the River Shannon in the thriving city of Limerick, making sure to stop at King John's Castle, Limerick Museum, and the Daniel O'Connell Monument, honouring the significant Irish politician known as The Liberator. Cork, Kilmurrin Beach, and Clare Glens Waterfall are all within easy driving distance, making Cappawhite a great location for your Irish retreat.
