addremove
As the largest village on the Isle of Arran, Brodick offers a range of amenities for visitors, including independent stores, friendly pubs and restaurants serving local produce. Take a Segway tour through the Arran countryside; slide, swim and jump your way through a gorge walking adventure or take to the water on a sea kayaking experience. For a more relaxed day out, head to the sandy beach at Brodick or take the footpath to the quieter beach at Strabane. Lace up your walking boots for a hike through Kildonan Forest (13 miles) to reach the spectacular Eas Mor waterfall or wonder at the giant boulders and Sleeping Giant' at the Fallen Rocks (7.5 miles). Tucked away off Shore Road and enjoying a set back location, your imposing holiday home is approached along the driveway leading through the lawned front garden. Step through the front door into the grand entrance hallway with sweeping staircase and space to leave coats and boots. With its large bay window, soothing tones and plump sofas, your living room is an inviting space to relax after a busy day, catch up on family news or simply sit and watch your favourite TV programme. Younger guests have their own playroom with areas for board games, puzzles and space to sprawl and watch TV. Gather the whole family around the elegant dining table for special dinners or leisurely suppers, comfortably seating up to 14 guests, so you can sit and socialise late into the evening. Your kitchen is a cook's dream equipped with electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. When it's time for bed, head up the wide staircase to the galleried landing where you will find four of the five bedrooms. Two super king size bedrooms have comfy beds dressed in thick duvets with bright soft furnishings and ample storage space. A further king size bedroom is warm and inviting with a tub chair to curl up in to relax with the latest novel. Younger guests can enjoy sleepovers in the family room with two sets of bunk beds dressed in colourful duvets. The first of two spacious bathrooms is situated on this floor with a shower over bath and WC. Heading back downstairs you will find a further light and airy king size bedroom with en suite shower room and WC and a second family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. To the front of the property is a large lawn area ideal for sunbathing or al fresco picnics. Take your morning coffee at the picnic bench looking out to the countryside or enjoy a sunset supper on warmer evenings. To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden with artificial grass, perfect for ball games, and a separate play area for toddlers and young guests. There is driveway with parking for five cars.
