This wonderful property is situated in the heart of the attractive Somerset village of Nether Stowey which lies at the foot of the Quantock Hills. This thriving village has two pubs, a Post Office, butchers and a grocery store and well known connections, once being the home to the romantic poet Coleridge, his cottage is now open and is owned by the National Trust. You will be 5.5 miles from the beautiful rocky beach at Kilve, or you could follow one of the many coastal paths which offer dramatic cliff top walks. Catch a train from Bishops Lydeard (10 miles) on the historic West Somerset steam railway that runs to the seaside town of Minehead. Other places of interest include Watchet (10 miles) with its marina, Dunster with its National Trust castle (16.5 miles), Hestercombe Gardens (9.5 miles), Cleeve Abbey (12 miles) and Exmoor National Park. Step inside this characterful property and you will immediately find yourself in the cosy lounge/diner. Settle in for a snug evening with a film on the Smart TV in front of the warming wood burner. The compact yet well equipped galley kitchen has everything you may need during your stay. Head up the cottage style stairs to the delightful double bedroom and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with a beautiful roll top cast iron slipper bath. While the property has no private outdoor space, with everything this charming village has to offer on your doorstep, there is plenty to explore.
