Enjoying a peaceful location within a private country estate set within the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this property is just 6 miles west of the bustling market town of Brecon, well known for its famous jazz festival, independent shops and cafes, history, military connections and, of course, the magnificent cathedral. The area is perfect for outdoor pursuits too; you can follow the many waymarked paths along with the rivers and canals, countryside, and mountain ranges. Hire a rowing boat, kayak or pedalo at Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales. Travel underground at the National Showcaves Centre or, for the more easy going guests, there are some lovely market towns such as Hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Builth Wells all within easy reach. This unique home is set within the grounds of a private estate where guests are free to explore the riverbanks of the River Usk and wild meadows. The lodge stands alone at the head of the estate offering a traditional storm porch where you can take a seat whilst removing muddy boots after a day of exploring. Step on through the large oak door into a cosy lounge area that is warmed with a wood burner; here, you can relax and enjoy a chapter of a good book or a favourite film on the TV. From here, you have access to a bespoke fitted kitchen with an area to dine a light and contemporary space finished with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining space is perfect for two, along with views and a rear door onto the enclosed gardens. There is access from the kitchen down step to a spacious bathroom where you can relax and soak in the deep bath with garden views; there is also a separate shower and WC. When the day is done, head to the king size bedroom with a king size bed. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ, as well as a well stocked herb garden with herbs for the chefs amongst you. Guests will also have access to a stretch of the River Usk for wild swimming, fly fishing (guests to supply a rod licence), an all weather tennis court and a wild meadow walk. Guests can also take a tour of the estate and local produce by arrangement with the owner. There is storage for bikes and allocated parking for two cars.
