Visit the heritage centre, follow Captain's Walk and see the remains of Brecon's medieval walls, or visit the South Wales Borderers Museum at Brecon Barracks. The Brecon Beacons National Park is perfect for walking enthusiasts with breathtaking landscapes to be enjoyed from riverside to mountain peak. Hire mountain bikes and enjoy pony trekking at Cantref Adventure Farm, or try sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking at Llangorse Lake. Discover some of Europe s finest surviving castles: Brecon Castle, Abergavenny Castle and Crickhowell Castle. Great oak beams and traditional exposed stonework stand reminiscent of the original barn, with the renovation creating a social, comfortable and welcoming space that you can't help but relax in. Perfect for a group of friends or a large family gathering, there is even space for extras to pitch a tent. The spacious, stone tiled kitchen has a central island and electric hob, oven, microwave, large fridge, large fridge/ freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The long refectory dining table seats 14 people. Steps lead down to a large flag stoned area with double height windows where a wonderful, semi circular oak settle reaches around a very large, stone central fireplace a wonderful place to relax in the flickering heat of an open fire. Up a few steps to the main living area, where comfortable sofas are the perfect place to relax after a long day to watch a movie, or to read a book in front of the wood burner. There is a lovely recessed window area with a sofa bed with uninterrupted views straight up to the Beacons. There is a downstairs shower room and an area for leaving coats and boots. Also there are three bedrooms on the ground floor, two doubles sharing one Jack & Jill shower room and a twin with en suite shower room. Upstairs there is a further very spacious bathroom with a bath. Up a flight of steps is a large oak beamed open plan room. the fourth bedroom on the mezzanine level (overlooking the living space) has six single pine beds and can be used as a bedroom or a further sitting area. The accommodation is fuelled by a Bio mass boiler so you can be assured of a carbon neutral stay. Outside, there is a sunny sitting area with wooden table and benches and a stone built BBQ. Dine alfresco morning, noon and evening, enjoying the wonderful views down the valley towards Brecon. Ample off road parking and shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles away.
