Brampton s market town (13.5 miles) lies just 2 miles south of Hadrian s Wall with nearby Birdoswald Roman Fort and Banks Turret and also lovely walks in Talkin Tarn Country Park and Gelt Woods RSPB nature reserve. Experience Hadrian s Wall history through the Roman Army Museum (9.5 miles) and the amazing Vindolanda (14.5). Discover the wonders of the National Park in The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre (14 miles) with its café and rooftop walk. Step inside this charming yet spacious holiday cottage for a tranquil stay in a majestic country setting. Outside, there is an attractive enclosed stone patio with garden furniture where you can enjoy your morning coffee before heading out for a day walking, cycling or exploring. Guests are invited to use the charcoal BBQ for some alfresco dining. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the patio, followed by unrivalled, dark sky stargazing before bedtime. There is also a lawned garden to the side of the property and an outside tap, perfect for washing muddy boots after a day's adventure.
