Bishops Castle Barn is a superb, detached stone cottage with hot tub, just 1.5 miles from Bishops Castle, next door to the owners home, and can sleep four people. The cottage has a lower ground floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower room which is accessed down 4 steps, a ground floor king-size double bedroom (zip/link, can be 2 6 twin on request) with Jack-and-Jill access to the main bathroom, a first floor kitchen with dining area and 4 steps leading up to a mezzanine sitting room with a sofa bed for flexibility. There is also a heated drying room at the front of the property, ideal for drying off wet coats and boots. Outside there is off road parking for one car and further parking is available in Bishop's Castle if required. There is also an external bike rack and a cleaning area, along with elevated decking with a hot tub, furniture and barbecue. Bishops Castle Barn is a lovely base for a memorable holiday.

Area
Located just a few miles from the Welsh border in the South Shropshire Hills, Bishops Castle is a town with a rich heritage boasting a weekly market and a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants and is well known for its annual Real Ale festival (and 2 local breweries) as well as numerous other events throughout the year. The town is an ideal base for walkers as it is close to the Welsh Marches and Offa's Dyke which formed the ancient boundary between England and Wales, as well as being within close proximity of the delightful market towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
