Visit Durham Cathedral, the castle, Botanic Gardens, shops and museums or stroll along the riverbanks and enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants. Drive into the North Pennines AONB, a UNESCO Global Geopark, for naturally beautiful landscapes and outdoor adventures, including High Force waterfall and plan a day at Beamish Living Museum, Raby Castle, Hamsterley Forest, and spectacular Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle (30 miles). Access to this light and airy, single storey barn conversion is directly into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with doors leading out to the patio garden and wall to wall windows. Unwind and enjoy a cosy evening relaxing on comfortable sofas watching a movie on the smart TV with a cosy wood burner adding to the ambience. You can prepare your meals in the well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher and sit together at the dining table. At bedtime, head down the hallway to find the two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and a TV for leisurely lie ins. The second bedroom has a double bed, a TV and an en suite WC. The family bathroom has a freestanding bath, a separate shower, and WC. Outside, extend your day in the south facing, enclosed garden/patio with an outdoor table and seating for four, plus additional bench seating, and a fire pit/BBQ for al fresco dining. After a day's walking, relax in the hot tub which is located inside a converted stable at the end of the garden for your privacy and comfort. There is private, off road parking for two cars.
