This property is nestled in a beautiful rural area close to Allanton, Chirnside, Paxton and the medieval town of Berwick upon Tweed. It's also within easy reach of many beautiful sandy beaches including Spittal and Coldingham. Paxton House is only 4 miles away and has a lovely tearoom, adventure play park and an array of activities to enjoy including boat trips and fishing on the River Tweed. There are many other local attractions within a short drive including Floors, Bamburgh, Thirlstaine and Tantallon Castles. Edinburgh is easily accessible by car or train, with the Berwick upon Tweed railway station just 7 miles away offering a regular train service which takes just over an hour. Stepping inside this charming south facing stone built property that dates back to the late 1800s, you'll first come into the hall which is the ideal place to store your outdoor clothing. Then, step through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the beautiful local area and watch a great movie on the Smart TV; on those cooler evenings, switch on the lovely wood burner effect electric fire. To the rear of the lounge is the dining area, the perfect spot to enjoy romantic or family meals together. From here, a stable door leads directly out to the enclosed garden with a seating area. Venture outside to the fully enclosed garden with a charcoal BBQ and a seating area for al fresco dining. Here, you can enjoy a lazy evening star gazing perhaps with a wee dram, good local ale or a nice glass of wine. Also located directly adjacent to the cottage is a very handy, well stocked farm shop. There is off road parking available for two cars in front of the property.
