Located inside one of the Hermann Henselmann Towers on Strausberger Platz, The Little Drummer has a rich history. As it overlooks Karl-Marx-All – the former GDR boulevard designed for parades and lined with mirrored wedding-cake style architecture on both sides – this home feels exceptionally grand. It’s lacking in entertainment options (there’s no TV), but with Alexanderplatz ten minutes away, we’re sure you’ll find other things to do.

Home truths:
*The host only rents out this home for longer periods of time – which is why a rental agreement needs to be signed and a deposit needs to be paid directly to the host
*It sleeps four guests, but two of them would be on a sofa bed in the living room
*We couldn’t find a home manual – you may have to ask for help on how to use the appliances
*Karl Marx Allee is definitely on the busier side – it can get noisy
*There aren’t really any entertainment options in this home – no TV, no books, no magazines
*The wifi was a bit slow we when we visited
