Not enough garden for our liking - but that was our fault for not reading properly particulars properly.

"Generally we had a really good holiday at this apartment and would certainly consider booking again."
Here are all the good points:
- convenient location close to local amenities and shops (including the best fish and chip shop on the island - Finneys)
- Parking for 2 cars (and really nice neighbours who saw the size of our motability vehicle and offered us an easier space to park in)
- Well laid out and comfortable overall
- Well equipped kitchen
- Warm
- Pleasant, helpful owner
- Quiet even though it is on the main road (but we were there during term time)
- Bed linen good and nice soft furnishings
- Property was clean when we arrived
- Dog friendly
- Easy to negotiate for people with mobility issues (not sure about for those using a wheelchair though)
Some things to note though:
- Third bedroom is very, very small and has no window. Listing does say it's a child/teenager room but note that it doesn't have anywhere to hang clothes or any sort of bedside table
- Outside space isn't really private and is right on the main road, so we didn't feel that comfortable using it
- The lounge is much smaller than it looks in the photos - although still ok for 4 adults and a dog
- There is a dining table for 4 but it's really not functional because it's up against a wall and there isn't room to leave it out and still access the kitchen properly
- lots of chipped crockery (mentioned to the owner)
- Could benefit from a set of instruction manuals for the appliances (although the owner did show us how to use the induction hob)
- Towels are very worn - but clean
- Anti-slip bathmats desperately needed replacing (spoke to owner and he brought new ones for the next guests)
- Owner did tell us there had been a damp problem in the main bedroom but we were careful to use the dehumidifier he provided
Critical, please see previous reviews

The accommodation was comfortable with plenty of space, and the local area is sublime. The Pebbles Bistro (you have to book as they are popular- even in the low season!), was delightful, as was the chippy and the food at The Bellech. Breakfast at the beach cafe was a delight. Great area, great host and great holiday!

"Mark actually came to our rescue as our original booking in Benllech was unsuitable."
The silver linning was that Beach View was a much better property, well furnished, cosy and more importantly warm during the bad weather. The apartment had everything we needed from a well equipped kitchen, good showers, large bedrooms, places to hang wet costs and a huge TV. The living room was very comfortable to sit in and with four adults never felt cramped. The open plan kitchen, dinning table and living room made for a very comfortable stay and made it feel more homely than a holiday let. The added touch of supplying small hamper in such short notice was very appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

"The property was as advertised however there were a number of small issues."
... firstly being dog friendly we would have expected some small safe area to toilet the dog there was only an open garden area on a main road.
The extractor to the ensuite did not work and needs replacement. The kitchen Hob was complicated to operate... suspect this is down to the quality of the pans provided. The sheets in the ensuite room did not fit the bed properly and finally a management company issues... none of the outside lights worked. Other than this... well located for the local facilities and when a chair broke it was promptly repaired.
Confused by this feedback!
Extractor fan works
High quality pans no previous comment about hob
All outside lights work
Dog friendly means dogs are allowed!

"Very well located holiday apartment for exploring Anglesey."
Mark was an a excellent host we really appreciated the welcome package of wine, chocs and milk! Apartment well kitted out with everything you need for a weeks stay. Only downside was that we found the mattresses uncomfortable. I think there’d been problems with damp/ steam from the bathrooms for previous guests but we followed Mark’s suggestion of leaving windows open and putting dehumidifier on and it was fine!
Thanks for mostly positive feedback, mattresses almost new just down to individuals

We had two children under 1 year old and both got really sick. We ended up having to leave early and when we told the host we got a sorry and was told he would do something to help the next guests, no money back or anything? Wouldn't recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. The owner advises guests on check in about airing the property after showering and if washing is done not to leave it hanging in the property. There is no damp in the property and there has never been an issue. If you had contacted the Sykes office or the owner we would have been more than happy to any issues rectified for you. Please note there is now a dehumidifier on the premises if required.

"The property is on a rather noisy busy road."
The bathrooms and the children's bedroom have no windows, so no natural light or ventilation, or air so if it is warm whilst your there this would be a challenge. Although you can see the sea it is further than you think and down quite a steep hill. There was all the things you would need in a holiday home and the location in the village was good. The keyholder was there to meet us and handover the keys and also there at 9.30am on day of depature to hand the keys back over to. Thank you for a nice week away.

We did have a problem with the internet but this was quickly resolved.
The beach is a steep hill climb and the dog friendly section was further along. However there was parking and once on the beach it was very family friendly with lovely sand for sandcastles, rockpools and gentle sloping access to the sea. The whole family enjoyed it.

"We’ve really enjoyed our stay at the apartment in Benllech."
The property is cosy, warm and comfortable. It well equipped for those who like to cook but also, well positioned if you fancy a takeaway or, a visit to one of the local pubs or restaurants. I’m going to miss the beach view from the kitchen window! Following a recommendation from the owner, we had a very nice meal at the Beachcomber Restaurant.
As artists, we’ve spent lots of time sketching and drawing the beautiful beaches & boats in and around Red Wharf Bay, Cemaes, and Moelfre. Plas Newydd House was closed but we managed to visit the gardens. Like us, you might have to ask for directions as it is not well signposted from Benllech. We also enjoyed the fascinating history of Beaumaris Gaol. It’s an island of contrasts with a backdrop of misty topped mountains. Just a shame we live so far away.
Thanks
