This village is perfectly located as a base to explore the magnificent unspoilt Northumberland coastline, castles, and countryside, stroll to the nearby gastro pub of an evening to enjoy dinner and drinks. The medieval town of Berwick Upon Tweed and the picture postcard seaside village of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, glorious sandy beaches and delightful independent shops, bars and restaurants (4 miles) are close at hand. Walk to Seahouses Harbour (7 miles) along the coastal path for a boat trip to the Farne Islands and spot the many bird species, including puffins in the breeding season and, of course, lovable seals. Enjoy a trip to Holy Island of Lindisfarne, with its unique access across its tidal causeway. Visit the historic marketing towns of Alnwick famed for its Castle used in the Harry Potter films, Craster for seafood and Dunstanburgh Castle, Beadnell Bay for a superb beach, Warkworth s medieval castle, Rothbury s Cragside Hall, and Wooler for the Cheviot Hills. This beautifully presented shepherd s hut enjoys an attractive area within the grounds of the owner s land with open countryside and farmland all around. Step up three steps to find the welcoming open plan living/dining/sleeping area with a cosy wood burner in the corner for those cooler evenings. There is an electric kettle to make your morning cup of coffee, a fridge with an icebox and electric socket to charge your devices . You also have access to the well appointed shared kitchen with microwaves, washing up facilities, further electric sockets and a washing machine. At bedtime, enjoy a restful night s sleep on the double bed after a day exploring the beaches and seaside villages. There are a couple of storage cupboards under the bed for your things, along with pretty tea lights and side table light provided for the ambience. The contemporary shower room features a walk in shower and WC. Outside, relax in the private garden area with a wooden table and chairs where you can eat breakfast or enjoy a BBQ and evening drinks before some stargazing. Take your drinks with you and cosy up inside the spacious wooden tepee with a warming central firepit and maybe chat with guests from the two other huts on the grounds. Off road parking for one car is available.
