Area
At the foot of the Macgillycuddy Reeks, close to the Gap of Dunloe, lies the little village of Beaufort. This area offers beautiful mountain views and is a nice place to go for a walk. The village is located between Killorglin and Killarney and has shops, pubs, and restaurants. Killarney is a popular destination for tourists every year because of its expansive countryside, nearby beaches, yearly festivals, and vibrant nightlife, which features traditional music in many of the pubs and bars. There are a variety of activities available in the area, including guided ascents to the peak of Ireland's tallest mountain, Carrauntoohil, as well as riding, walking, cycling, golf, and fishing.
