Set in an idyllic location, a grouping of early 19th century dairy cow sheds and milking parlours have been restored and converted into three unique and spacious dwellings. The location boasts fabulous countryside views, walking routes aplenty and historical significance with the nearby ancient iron age hill forts of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen. The Wessex Ridgeway, a long distance path running from Lyme Regis to the Dorset/Wiltshire border, passes through the farm and is footsteps from the cottage. The popular pub in Stoke Abbott is also within walking distance (1.5 miles). Ideally placed for touring, you ll be within easy reach of an abundance of charming towns and villages, including Beaminster (4.5 miles) and Bridport (5.5 miles), where you can sample local produce and stroll around boutique shops. Head 8 miles south to the much photographed Jurassic Coastline and explore West Bay and ever popular Lyme Regis (15 miles), which is home to cottages painted in ice cream colours, picture postcard streets and a wide range of galleries and eateries. Within 23 miles are many other attractions including Tintinhull Gardens, Montacute House, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. From the parking area, head across the shared courtyard garden and take the steps down to your private entrance door. Once inside, you'll be met with a welcoming open plan living space, cleverly divided into comfortable areas. There is a cosy space to relax beside the wood burner and Smart TV, as well as a gorgeous hand built kitchen, finished in a cheery colour sure to lift your spirits. There is room to dine just opposite, and the vaulted ceiling, combined with exposed stonework, creates a wonderful ambience. Completing the accommodation is a spacious king size bedroom and a stunning en suite bathroom. There is a generous walk in shower and a separate free standing bath, ideal for a long soak after a day spent exploring. To the front of the property is a patio area, screened from the neighbouring property and furnished with a table and chairs. An old well sits within the courtyard, giving the property its name and it has a bespoke cover that reflects down into the water below. Steps lead up into a central shared courtyard that is fully enclosed. Please note, there are changes of level within the courtyard and care should be taken with children and dogs.
