Set in the tranquil Peak District village of Great Longstone, close to Bakewell (3 miles), this comfortable cottage promises a restful retreat for a family or group of friends. With mile upon mile of countryside footpaths to explore, a local pub within 500 metres and attractions such as Chatsworth House (3 miles) and Haddon Hall (5 miles) close by, there s more than enough to fill your holiday itinerary. Within 1.5 miles you can join the Monsal Trail, an 8.5 mile traffic free route through limestone dales, and a little further afield you can explore the beautiful scenery of Millers Dale (6.5 miles). Pay a visit to the market town of Bakewell; the spa town of Buxton (12.5 miles), with its lively arts scene; and pretty Ashford in the Water (1.5 miles). The historic village of Eyam (6 miles) is also worth a visit. Enter this comfortable family home into the hallway and make your way into the open plan lounge/diner to the left. Here you ll find a bright space, flooded with light from the French windows which lead out to the garden, and kept cosy by the wood burner in the stone fireplace. Switch on the Smart TV and snuggle down in the plump sofas for evenings of rest and relaxation. Two steps up from the lounge lead to the dining space, a comfortable place to eat and socialise. Off the dining room, the kitchen offers plenty of worktop space and equipment to whip up tasty meals, and the breakfast bar with stools for two is a convenient spot to enjoy a morning coffee. A door leads out into the enclosed back garden. The family bathroom is found off the hallway, as are the three bedrooms, comprising a double with an en suite shower room, another double with an en suite shower room, and a cosy twin. To the front, patio doors lead from the lounge into the large garden, with two seating areas where you can enjoy the fresh, Peak District air. Surrounded by a wall and high hedge, with pretty, planted borders and a lawn, it s a lovely spot to enjoy an al fresco meal. A small, enclosed garden to the rear offers a safe space for dogs and children to explore.
