Ambleside is one of the Lake District s most vibrant towns, there is a great selection of shops, restaurants, outdoor activities, two cinemas and a fantastic park with mini golf and tennis courts. Popular with walkers and climbers, there are many walks from the town and plenty of visitor attractions nearby including cycle trails and water sports. From Lake Windermere (0.5 miles) take a ferry to Bowness, Brockhole or Lakeside Pier near Newby Bridge with rowing boat or motorboat hire. Nestled at the rear of a large historic property, as you approach you are welcomed by the sound of running water from the hidden waterfall adjacent to the property. Accessed via steps at the rear of the main house, the property has a homely cottage feel spread across one floor and enjoys stunning views across the fells. Enter through the small but functional and well equipped galley kitchen. This features a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. From the small hallway, step into the bright and cheerful double bedroom that looks out over the terraced rear garden of the main house and enjoys views towards the fells. From the hallway, three steps take you up to the light and airy lounge with original beams. The picture window seat is the ideal spot to soak in views towards Latterbrow. Deer are regular visitors to the garden of the main house and there s nothing better than watching them bask in the sunshine. The views from the other side of the room are just as appealing, with a stunning vista over the classic Lakeland walk, The Fairfield Horseshoe. With its comfy sofa, smart TV and dining table for four, this sun filled room invites you to relax. Off the lounge you will find a cosy beamed south facing double bedroom and a modern bathroom featuring a shower over the bath, and WC, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains or sightseeing. Parking is available for one vehicle. There is a slight gradient when entering the car park, low fronted vehicles will need to take caution and drive slowly. The small private patio area at the front entrance is the ideal spot to sit and enjoy a good book or a glass of wine. Within 100 metres, you will find an impressive selection of shops, bars, restaurants, and local amenities.
