The outdoor kitchen is primed for rustling up simple lunches of grilled seafood, fresh bread (the nearby traditional Greek bakery can help with that), and chilled Retsina on the side.

If you feel a post-lunch slumber coming on, head indoors to have a cheeky siesta in the free-flowing, light-filled living space united by restful interiors. Or sneak away upstairs to one of the private balconies of the sea-facing bedrooms for some quiet time with a good book – the panoramas are magnificent from up here.

When it’s time to feel the sand beneath your feet, the vast shores of Arillas are just a flip-flop away with straw umbrellas to relax beneath and beachside tavernas for sundowners – just like you imagined.
