Peace and quiet await at this eye-catching, 300-year-old barn. It sits on the lakeside in idyllic Sonning Eye, an eight-minute drive from the buzzing shops and pretty high street of Henley-on-Thames. The highlight is the vast outdoor space where lawns provide space for ball games and there’s a dedicated basketball court. By the lakeside, a fire pit and seating area is the ideal spot for sundowners and there’s plenty of space to dine on the huge patio. The vast open-plan kitchen, living and dining room is a fabulous spot to socialise of an evening and there’s a second seating area in the Asian-inspired sitting room. Each ensuite bedroom feels hotel-level lavish.

*There's an unfenced lake at the bottom of the garden. Children should be supervised at all times outside.
*At capacity, two guests will be on the sofa bed in the lounge area of one of the bedrooms.
*The fireplaces are purely decorative and can't be used.
*Your host welcomes well-behaved dogs here by prior arrangement.
*The stairs leading to one of the bedrooms are very steep, so would not suit small children or those with limited mobility.
