The pretty village of Middleham home to the ruins of Richard III's Middleham Castle is nearby, and offers a choice of tearooms, restaurants and shops (2 miles). Other local attractions include The Forbidden Corner (3.5 miles), Aysgarth Falls (10.5 miles) and Bolton Castle (9 miles). Nearby towns include Richmond (13 miles) and Leyburn (4 miles), which has a host of pubs and cafes, a bustling market and is home to Tennants, the biggest auction centre outside London.
