Enjoying a secluded location with wonderful views across the meadow and towards the traditional village of Bream, this shepherd s hut is simply perfect for a couple wanting to embrace the countryside. A leisurely stroll (0.5 miles) will take you into the centre of the village, well served with a village pub, sports and social club with TV, two convenience stores, a coffee shop, and a fish and chip shop. From here, it is easy to explore the Forest of Dean with plenty to see and do. Take on the cycle trail and explore the sculpture trail, and for the thrill seekers, the downhill courses will test even the experienced mountain bikers. You can also enjoy abseiling and caving at Symonds Yat Rock (14.5 miles), paddleboarding, and a high wire rope course at Mallards Pike (7 miles). Also, within easy access is Puzzle Wood (4 miles), a beautiful woodland now reclaimed by nature, and Clearwell Caves (3 miles) is a great underground experience with nine caverns for you to explore. Set at the head of a rolling meadow where guests can enjoy beautiful sunsets after a day of exploring, the shepherd s hut has been designed to offer couples a place to relax. It has been beautifully finished, providing a cosy place to sleep, with a comfortable double bed, wood burner, and seating. Open the stable door to enjoy the views and relax in front of the fire pit whilst stargazing. For dining, an indoor well equipped kitchen is situated 50 metres away from the hut, offering everything you would need, along with a covered dining area. There is also a private shower room with a shower and WC. A chemical WC is also situated outside the hut for guests to use. The grounds have an open aspect with plenty to explore. There is a fire pit with a tripod cooking frame and an undercover seating area with a hammock and garden table, close to the hut.
