Wander down to the shore of Derwentwater and hop on a cruise or hire boats just 1.5 miles from home. If you fancy heading further afield, visit Ambleside (17.5 miles) to explore the largest natural lake in England: Windermere. Board a steamer and take in the glorious views before stopping off at Bowness (23 miles) for a bite to eat. Stay close to home and stroll up to Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles) for wonderful views or wander down to Lodore Falls (4 miles) and up to Surprise View. Reward the day s efforts with a delicious meal out at one of Keswick s many eateries before watching a show at Theatre by the Lake or heading to the local cinema. Head through the front door and into the hallway where you can leave boots and jackets after walks. Make your way into the open plan lounge/diner and settle on the sofas in front of the pebble effect gas fire. A Smart TV, stereo and selection of books and games promise to keep you entertained as you unwind in this welcoming room. In the corner sits the dining table, where you can gather and enjoy meals and raise a toast to time spent together. Find the kitchen adjoining the living space, a lovely room where your designated chef will enjoy spending time. With a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer, you ll have all you need to rustle up dinner. When it s time to say good night, head up to the first floor where the three bedrooms await. There is a double, a twin room which can be made up as a super king size (request at time of booking), and a single. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom with WC and shower over the bath. Sit and unwind in the unenclosed front garden or head round to the rear garden which is enclosed and has seating. Spend time on the patio where you can enjoy dining alfresco or sip a drink as the sun goes down. Behind the gate is access to the cycleway and footpath so you can reach the local park or head to Threlkeld. Store bikes in the garage. There is a garage nearby for small/medium cars (this is probably not suitable for 4x4s) and unrestricted on street parking outside the house.
