Located a short walk from the centre of the popular Cotswold town of Stow on the Wold. The town s past can be appreciated by looking at the period cottages, traditional buildings and the once used 'stocks' on the green. Stow on the Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns standing exposed on 800 feet high Stow Hill at the junction of the Roman Fosse Way. The last battle of the English Civil War took place here in 1646. Known for its association with the once thriving Cotswold wool industry, it is now home to many antique shops, galleries and restaurants. For day trips out of town, visit Moreton in Marsh, Bourton on the Water and further afield, Stratford upon Avon or Oxford. All packed with popular historical places of interest. Enter the cottage through the spacious hall with WC. The cosy lounge has ample comfortable seating, woodburner effect electric fire and TV/DVD and Wi Fi.
