The area offers miles of breathtaking scenic walks and cycle routes to be enjoyed from the doorstep, as well as a range of Munros for keen climbers to bag. The river and glen around Balquhidder (6.5 miles) is steeped in history: the Balquhidder kirkyard attracts many visitors from around the world to see the resting place of the famous outlaw and folk hero Rob Roy. A range of water sports are available at Loch Earn only 8 miles away. When you have explored the beauty of the surrounding area take a daytrip to the major city of Stirling 25 miles away to indulge in art galleries, shopping, leisure and historic attractions. With cosy seating, Sky TV and an iPod dock, this is a relaxing space to unwind in at the end of an unforgettable day in this awe inspiring part of Scotland. Exploring the cottage further, the hallway has traditional exposed stone walls and leads to a refreshing shower room. A few steps lead up into the tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished double bedroom. The delightful garden has plenty of seating, with bird feeders dotted about so you can spot some of the many feathered visitors to this enchanting area. You may also glimpse an array of wildlife including red squirrels, pine martens, pheasants and deer.
