This lively market town is situated in the Eden Valley and is surrounded by glorious scenery, perfect for keen walkers to explore. The North Pennines, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all within 15 miles, making this is a fantastic base for discovering some of England s finest countryside. The town of Penrith (14 miles) has some great shops, with nearby attractions including Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens (16 miles), and Lowther Castle and Gardens (12.5 miles).
