Encompassed by the River Eden, Appleby is a wonderful town and holiday destination. Visit the Norman castle which lies less than half a mile from home or hop on a train on the Settle to Carlisle Railway which passes through during summer months. Head further afield and you can discover some truly beautiful sights. High Cup Nick sits 6 miles away and is a fantastic place to walk whilst Cross Fell is 12 miles from home and is the highest mountain in the Pennine Hills. If you fancy a spot of retail therapy or a delicious meal out, travel 15 miles to Penrith. Great for a couple or individual traveller, this home is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday life. Step inside via the vestibule area which leads into the kitchen/diner. Put the kettle on and find all you need to cook up a storm, sitting beneath the exposed beams.
