The Grand Hôtel de Noailles

In the 18th century, the Grand Hôtel de Noailles, owned by the Duc de Noailles, graced the site of today's Renaissance Paris Vendôme. This grand building was the setting for the marriage of the Marquis La Fayette, one of France's most sought-after bachelors, to Marie Adrienne Françoise de Noailles in 1774. Queen Marie-Antoinette herself received Lafayette here upon his return from America.

Guest Room Detail

From Revolution to Restoration

During the French Revolution, the Grand Hôtel de Noailles was confiscated. It wasn't until the Restoration that the hotel was returned to the de Noailles family, who subsequently sold it. In 1830, the hotel and its gardens were demolished. Baron Haussmann's redevelopment of Paris later divided the property into five parts, marking the end of an era.

A New Era

In 2005, Marriott International breathed new life into the historic site by transforming it into the Renaissance Paris Vendôme. Inspired by the greatest haute couture houses, designer Didier Gomez infused elegance and femininity into the hotel's renovations, unveiling a blend of historical charm and modern luxury.
