A magnificent example of 18th century architecture, the Pershing Hall welcomes its guests into an exclusive ambiance where opposites blend together harmoniously and clearly: history with modernity, classicism with boldness and luxury with simplicity. The building's imposing Empire-style architecture with a grand staircase and majestic rooms from the past still remain and, of course, the name borrowed from General John Pershing, who made this his headquarters in 1917 when American troops were fighting alongside the French army. Over the years and centuries, the building has been renovated and great care has been taken to preserve its historic soul, with alcoves of remembrance which serve as a nod from the present day to the heroes and the history of the past.
